| I feel like a fool I was so worried about Gracie not eating or drinking that I took her to our vet today. He did a fecal analysis, CBC, x-rays of her abdomen, took temp, etc. He could find absolutely nothing wrong with her, but it cost me $220!!!!!! Gads!! I'm not one to run to the vet with my dogs nor the doctor with my children, but she was just laying around and had been doing that for days and not eating hardly a thing. I feel like such a fool and a POOR one, too!! |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | That's not being a fool...that's just love - I did it too when Chanel was little - it's better to have nothing wrong then hearing there IS a problem - I know it's alot of money - but things could have been worse....I'm so glad she's healthy - good job mom She may not be feeling well and it's just not something they detected but may pass ? Either way - I would keep watching her and at least you have some common things ruled out |

| That little bugger, Gracie. This morning I put her in the backyard as soon as she got up and while she was doing her business I scrambled her an egg. When I let her in she charged for her bowl and scarfed it all up. She cost me all that money and there wasn't a THING wrong with her. I sure wish I'd waited one more day.....oh well, live and learn. |

| Kudos to you for caring enough about your baby to play it safe, the problem isn't you, the problem is the US medical system whether for dogs or people is such a rip off! You gotta come to France...Our latest extravaganza at the vet was five days of antihistamine and antibiotic shots, skin tests for beasties, cortizone cream, doctors exam three times at least and some other stuff....90 euros for everything! That's about $115. My own medicine is 1/4 what I used to pay in the USA! |

| Yeah, you're out $220, but at least it gave you peice of mind. Just think, if there had been something wrong with her how badly you would feel, and then you might even of ended up spending more too. It's better this way, 'cause she's still healthy, maybe a little under the weather, but healthy.

| I've scolded Gracie all day and nicknamed her my "Million Dollar Baby"! She has been sooooo cute all day and right by my side (if the puppy would let her)! I truly think she didn't feel well, but with something the vet couldn't dx. At any rate, today she's a doll and has begged for food and of course, got it! I hate it that I spent so much money, but if something had happened to her I'd have given that much two-fold to turn back the clock. |
