| I feel your pain. I just went through this with Delilah about 2 months ago I think. I could not even take her to the vets myself. It was bad. She came out of it extremely clingy and whinny so afterwords you are going to be carrying around this beautiful ball of whinny fluff that wont let you put her down. Be prepare for lots of lovin. Be careful because they get use to it and want it all the time. LOL. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

| Oh, what a tough choice. I pray she does extremely well with no complications whatsoever. Try not to stress so much, she will pick up on it. She has the face of an angel. What a precious little girl you have there.

| I was the same way 4 weeks ago when I had Lilly spayed. Your vet sounds wonderful, she is in good hands. Let me know how everything went!

| I just went through this with Abby about a month ago and I had the exact same feelings. She did wonderfully! She's curled up on my lap right now. I'm so glad it's over, just like you will be by tomorrow afternoon ![]() All the best to DeDe

But in the end I feel like I need to be there with her. Oh gosh, she is ALREADY like that...I still hand feed her every single day...she eats raw food and I have to pick it apart for her and feed her piece by piece...lol. Spoiled? No way... ![]() I don't know if she can get worse or not...lol

![]() For everyone that has just been through this recently...how long did it take your baby to come back out of being weak and get back to being themself? Did they eat right away? I already have to hand feed her so that's nothing new...but she's so little I worry about her even skipping one meal. I guess I can always syringe her like I did when she was a baby. Boy, she really IS going to come out of this twice as spoiled as she already is!!!

| Donating YT 2000 Club Member | Nicki, Your vet sounds very experienced. I wish you both well. We worried about Gumdrop when she was spayed last month--less than 3# but it turned out fine--keep us posted and you will be in our prayers and thoughts tomorrow. |

| Nicky I remember when you had your sisters litter... I know the worry of surgery when ya love a baby so much.. I cancelled kacee's teeth appointment last winter.. finally did it this summer.. and was like you.. but he did fine and sure feels a lot better for my doing it.. Please updte us on how she is doing.. as for how long.. you would be surprised.. I took a male puppy in to get neutered and brought him right home with me right after surgery.. the next morning you would not know he had surgery the night before at all... You just make sure she does not do any playing as they think they can and they do given the chance... anne |

| Thanks again everyone...Rose I'm glad you said that...I didn't think about that...it might be worse to force food on her and give her too much and then she gets sick. How old was Pooh when you got her spayed? Anne, thanks, it IS scary...and that will definitely be a task trying to get her to stay still...she LOVES to play and run wild... Maybe at least this first night the pain meds they give her will keep her a little quieter. Tomorrow will be a challenge. Linda, yayy I can't wait...it will be after Christmas sometime when I have a little extra and I can afford for you to make her some adorable warm fufus! ![]() I'm waiting on them to call me...they said they call everyone after lunch to update on how they're doing...and you get to pick them up after 4PM once they are sure they're doing fine. So I'm trying to be patient for that phone call...I"m about to jump out of my seat... I will update when I hear something or when I get her home! |
