| HELP! Scratching & licking back legs & nibbles front paws For about 4 to 5 days now i have notice my dog Itching & Scratching ever so often,. sometimes Behind his ears and neck and mid section.. and he also sometimes lays straight out on the floor and licks his paws and sometimes nibbles on them.. Does anyone know why he would do this.. I was thinking it may be the food my girl friend had him on which was purina puppy chow from grocery store. I just started to give hime Wellness for puppys today and he seem to take to it OK for now. Im hoping it was the food and nothing else.. Any ideas please to let me know.. Thanks |

| That would be my first guess, the food! Have you checked for fleas as well? Also, make sure you are using a shampoo that is meant for dogs. Their PH level is different from ours so human shampoo isn't the best choice.

| Maybe from the food, licking the paws especially on top of them. Next bathe for fleas, if you don't see any but think it might be fleas, use dawn dishwashing liquid its a cheap excellent way to rid them of fleas but then use a good conditioner for the coat because the dawn is very drying. |

| My little guy has flea allergies and has to get an allergy shot! He does the same thing, not as bad now that it's winter here and most fleas are gone. We use advantage once a month and it work pretty well. Also we use Drs. Foster and Smith Itch Stop shampoo. I've tried a lot of anti-itch shampoos and this has worked the best and his coat looks and smell great!
