| Difficulty eating My 16 weeks puppy weighs only 1 1/2 lbs and only like to eat when hand fed. I am worried about not hand feeding her due to hypoglycemia. I have tried canned, softened hard food in warm water, and a little turkey baby food. Any suggestions |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hmmm, what kind of food have you tried exactly? My Marcel was 1.4 at 16 weeks and I fed him every 3-4 hours at first. He had a great appetite, but def. had some preferences. Are you saying that the appetite seems suppressed overall? If so, this can be a concern - and something you may need to investigate further with bloodwork (checking the liver), however, bloodwork can be tricky at this age as well. How is her poo - does it look normal?

| Hi ya's Been awhile but it seems increasingly hard to make a living these days (incase u haven't noticed) really eating into my free time. Roufianna was a very picky eater and insisted on hand feeding. We tried Wellness all meat as a topper over Royal Canine puppy with limited success. We then tried Wellness Core dry and un topped and she liked eating it but it is too large a pellit for her. Now i give her Wellness Adult small breed. She is....ok with it. Our fears of malnutrition have ebbed as she broke the 7.5 lb. mark. We now call her Rotund Majasty. LOL. She is now 2 yrs. old. Hope this helps. Feel free to ask more. Roufi's Dad |

| Thanks for your response, her poo is ok. She eats well, just out of my hand. I want her to be independent and not have to hand feed her. |
