| Feeding Schedule hey everyone my 4 month old layla is getting better and better at getting housetrained but there is one thing that i think i can fix with your help. She pees on the pads everytime and usually poops on the pad, mostly in the morning for her first poop of the day I keep her food down all day (new food everyday) and i'm thinking that if i put her feedings on a schedule then she will poop on a schedule also? She is a very sneaky puppy and i'm sick of finding her poop on our black carpet...which its very hard to see on. So if you all could tell me a good schedule to keep that would be great! Thanks! P.S. She kinda eats on a schedule on her own, its usually when my hubby and i are eating and maybe the smell of our food makes her hungry? i have no clue but when we arent eating she just goes over and eats like 2 peices at a time and then comes back into the living room where all the excitement is. Apparently she thinks shes going to miss something exciting.

Thor's Human Donating Member | Yes, if she eats on a regular schedule, she should poop on a regular schedule, just like a person. Since she's a puppy you can feed her 3 x / day. She should be prepped to poop 1-2 hours afterwards. She will also be more prone to poop after some exertion, so do a brisk walk around the block when you are "expecting." |
