Ok, as you all probably know, Fiona was scheduled for her spay 11/4, however, she came into heat on the 1st of Nov. She is no longer bleeding, but I have recently noticed that her nipples seem larger, is that normal? they arent huge, but they do seem bigger.????

I don't know anything about a dog coming into heat. I'm sure you could find something on the internet about it. otherwise, bumping this up will hopefully get you some responses from someone who knows better than I.

You will notice changes to the mammary glands as well as the nipples while she is going through the changes in homones. After the nipples become larger and more firm the glands will become firm just under the skin and you will be able to trace an outline of the gland with your finger.

All perfectly normal and will go away in a few weeks.

thank you very much! she is starting to be her normal self, and i'm hoping she will be good to go for her spaying as planned next tuesday!
