| How Much Do You Feed Your Puppy? I am feeding my puppy Nutro 3 times a day and I feel I could be over feeding him. He now weights 1.3 pounds. How much do you folks feed your puppies? |

| We feed Toto 1/8 cup Natural Balance [roll] twice a day and she gets about 1 tablespoon Royal Canin Yorkshire 28 which we leave down all the time. She is 18 months but when she was still a baby we fed her 3-4 small meals a day. She weighs 4 lbs. 0.14 ozs. but because her little bone structure is really small, that's still about 1 lb. overweight. How old is your baby?

| This is what Nutro recommends: http://www.nutroproducts.com/ncdogpuppy.asp So, I would feed him about 3/4 cup throughout day? Breaking it up into 3 meals? |

| 3/4 cup sounds like a lot for a little tiny guy that age! I can't remember the quantities ... seems like it was something like 1 tablespoon or less for each meal. I do remember it was 3-4 times a day because they need more when they are growing. [Just remembered my "notes" which I always make when we go to the vet ... I always go armed with my questions/concerns! According to my early questions ... our vet had us give her 1/8 cup BID ... so that would be around 1 tablespoon]. Toto was only a tad over 1 lb. when she was that age. Anyone else out there remember the quantity for a little one at 13 weeks??

| Carter is almost 7 months old, weighs 2.6# and is given about 1/2 cup of Science Diet Nature's Best daily. I put his food out in the morning and he eats on it when he chooses. Usually he decides to eat while we're eating breakfast and dinner. In the first month he was with us (Dec 25 - Jan 26), he gained .4#.

| We give Bentley 1/3 cup of Solid Gold dry food per day, but he rarely eats it all. I will usually give him a little bit of soft food to make up for it. |

| During the first six weeks a puppy should nurse from the mother. After this period the puppy must be weaned to solid food. Puppies should be fed three to four times a day.At six months you can start feeding your puppy twice a day. Find here a feeding chart for dogs How much to feed a puppy? Feeding small puppies . |

| Raider and Addie get 3 tsp of dry food 3 times a day. We are switching them from Fromm to Orijen puppy food. They both gobble it down like they are in a race-even if we separate them while eating. They will be 13 weeks old on Sat and both weigh a little over 2.5#. Raider is the heavyweight at 2.7# while Addie is 2.6#. |
