| Stomper was eating Royal Canine from 2 months to 7 months old. He LOVED it. However, he started to itch a lot. I really believe it was from the corn in the food. Therefore, I've since then switched to Innova which is a very healthy choice for a yorkie!

| Well I am truly confused. For years I've fed my gang Prescription I/D canned food, only because Little Bear has IBS and it was easier to have everyone eating the same thing. Enter new pup, who was on Costco Kirkland brand chicken and veggies. Well I didn't think any dog food from Costco could be a premium dog food so switched everyone to RC thinking that it was a top of the line dog food. My two older yorkies have packed on a mess of weight since the switch, have less energy. Good thing I'm taking them all in for a check up tomorrow so I can ask the vet what they should be on. Is there a website anywhere that rates these dog foods? |

| I have been feeding my 5 month old yorkie Royal Canine because that is what the breeder had fed her and I also did not want to make too many changes at first. She really seems to like it so I have kept her on it. She would prefer wet food any day though! However, after reading all of the responses I feel like I should look into some other brands. Royal Canine does have an adult yorkie that I was originally planning on switching her to. What are the best brands out there? I definitely want to make sure that she is getting the most nutritious food out there. |

| Jack had diarrhea for almost 1 month it was horrible !!! The vet did 2 stool samples on him did not find anything except the stuff that he should not eat. That is anything on the floor. I switched him to California Natural Lamb and Rice. The diarrhea is gone I really did not think the food change could make such a difference. Whoo hooo!!!! Jack and Mandy's Mom |

| My pups did really well when I changed them from Royal Canin to Canidae. They both LOVE Canidae!

| I just read that RC has caused some yorkies to itch. This is what my puppy has been living on and she has an itching problem. She scratches all the time. I never have found any fleas and assumed she had allergies but I never connected it to her food. I want to try something else now to see if her itching goes away. What do ya'll recommend for puppies not doing well on Rc? Judy |

| When we brought our babies home, the breeder supplied us with some Nutro Natures Choice for puppies. These nuggets seemed so big for the little puppies so we tried RC. Big mistake! I made them vomit and gave them diareha. Not good. We switched back to Nature's Choice and just broke the nuggets up a bit. After some more research it seems that the Nature's Choice (Lamb and Rice) is not a bad food at all. Now that the puppies are bigger, they can eat it just fine. Lots of dog's can not digest corn very well so I plan an staying away from any food with corn in it now. Good luck!
