| I am so very sorry that your little one is sick. I will keep both of you in my thoughts and prayers. I use Canidae exclusively for several years. I stopped using it because very time I bought the food it had increased in price by a few $$ AND the supplier I was buying it from was dissatisfied with changing customer service. I was told that the food was being manufactured by the Diamond Dog Food Company and that the forumla had changed. I REFUSE to knowingly purchase any dog food manufactured at a Diamond plant. I plan to call their customer service today and see if I can get any real answers. Here is the phone # if anyone else if interested in calling. The Customer Service hours from 9 am to 5 pm (PST) Monday through Friday 800-398-1600 or 909-599-5190. I have started the process of homecooking for my babies. I am currently home cooking for five of them (Including Scarlett who is due to have pups in a couple of days). My neighbor is working on getting me a couple of deer (organic lean meat) - and as soon as I have a freezer full of venison, I will be home feeding all of the kids. |

| update. peanut seems to have made a full recovery! she still has a week of meds left. woohooo!! i think i know how my baby got coccidia! we were out today, and we let her run free for the first time since she came down with the parasite. we had cleaned up all of her feces from the yard, and so we felt pretty safe that she could run and play without reinfecting herself. then, we noticed her nosing in the ground. i ran over, and it was rabbit feces! i am almost positive that this is how she got the coccidia in the first place! she was definitely eating it. if she did reinfect herself, i hope the meds will take care of it.... oh gees. now we have to keep her leashed until we figure out how to keep rabbits away from our yard.
