| my neighbor ment well but!!!! well lets start by saying I really appriciate the thought,,I know my neighbor ment well, she really did,,and she didnt have to do this,,which was super nice of her,,I have been really sick, for the ast 5 days with a spinal leak due to an injection..anyway I was out of dog food..and I cant even sit up let alone go to the store...I was going to have my husband go get dog food....(ya right) I have been feeding chicken soupe mixed with natural choice...(I have 4 dogs) and one of them is a golden retreiver,,who never stops eating....well my neighbor came over to help me out,,,(cuz hubby has been about as much help as a lamp with a burned out bulb) ..and she left to go pick up my perscription and she came back with 4, 15lb bags of various puppy food..and mixed them all together so I wouldnt have to worry about dog food for a long time....im talking dollar store stuff..I think petagree was the best quality of all of them... I couldnt say no thanks,,this is not good enough for my dogs...and there is sooooo much of it and I cant get to the store right now! im just to sick..and of course hubby is saying,,im not going out and buying anything else when we got all that free dog food. the'll just have to eat that.. I mean, I know its not gonna kill them..but im worried about feeding this food for so long,,and it upsetting there stomache..they are used to the chicken soup brand. Im talking a five gallon container of dog food at least..and its packed full..I would have to buy sooooooo much chicken soupe to suppliment this poor quality food,,and I cant even go to the store due to this spinal leak..should I just start giving nutri cal? so thery get there vitimins? its going to take AWHILE for them to eat all this food..any suggestions? I feel sooooo ungrateful. its not everyday a neighbor does something like that for you. and here I am complaining,,(I didnt tell her that of course)

| Do you have any yogurt or pumpkin that you can give to them? That's supposed to help with sick tummies.

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | I would not feed that to my dogs & change there food so quickly. I would Donate the food to a shelter & Have someone ( Your Husband!) get the food there use too. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Aww that was sweet of her. Is there any other relative that could get you the brand you are feeding and when you are feeling better donate the other stuff. The neighbor will never know. I would be to afraid to switch food on all 4 at once. You certainly don't need 4 sick dogs on top of all the pain you are in.

| First of all, I am so sorry you are not well. I hope you are back on your feet and feeling better soon. That was kind of your neighbor. But I understand your concern about feeding your babies food that is not good for them. I say you call up a friend or family member who can go out and get their regular food for your dogs. And see if there is anyone who does want some free dog food. Your husband perhaps! Haha. j/k. I was just wondering about the chicken soup food brand.... I keep hearing about it and I am trying to plan out what kind of food to feed my precious yorkie girl! Is this food good for yorkie's skin and hair, etc? Do they like the taste? I am just curious because I have these workers coming up to me at the pet stores and recommending things ( one being Royal Canin) and I am not sure who to believe or trust. I read the ingredients in the chicken soup brand and the first 4 are meat so I figure that is great! My yorkie is 18 weeks old so she is on the food that her breeder used and I am not sure if I want to continue on it and switch later or switch to another brands puppy formula now and then later switch to the adult version of that same brand. Any opinions would be helpful and very much appreciated! Thank you.

| Oh, that is so sweet of you! Thanks. I actually have a few different sample packs, one being chicken soup, so I will say no thank you to your kind offer. I appreciate the offer and your response. I am leaning toward chicken soup. I don't know if I want to let her sample them yet until I decide if I should change brands now or when she is older. I am feeding her Eagle Pack Puppy Formula right now because that is what her breeder started her on and she seems to like it well enough. The first few ingredients don't horrify me. I read somewhere that corn is not good for dogs? Is this true? Anyone know anything about Royal Canin?

It was really sweet of your neighbor, but I agree with the others and donate it to your local shelter, they may really need it right now. You need to make sure you know what your dogs are eating. If there should be symptoms of toxicity, you need to know where it is coming from. You just can't be too careful with commercial dog foods right now.

| Why don't you tell your hubby that if you switch their food and they get tummy upset and have diarhea all over your house he's gonna have to clean it up so if that's what he'd prefer to do instead of going out to get their usual dog food.... I would see if you could donate the other stuff. But really if it comes down to it and thats all you can feed them right now, I can't imagine that a few days would be all that bad for them..... It was nice and thoughtful of your neighbor and I just wouldn't tell her at all, just be really grateful to her. It's awesome that you have such a caring neighbor and friend. |

| Yes she REALLY is the best..she is my neighbor my co worker, and my second mother, she is also the one that free of charge, taught me to groom all of my dogs myself,..(she is a dog groomer)...but How could I be so brainless......of corse,,,,I can donate it to one of the local shelters!!!..(Ill just blame it on the pain meds..lol) Ill just have someone else go out and get the correct food,(chicken soupe) and donate the bad stuff,,,hubby will never know. .(I hope)..that way nothing goes to waste, and my babies get what they are used to,,,,and my neighbor willnever know,,so (its all good right).....I did have to feed it to them yesterday,,...but so far, its not bothering there tummys....its like a treat,,,,it must be pretty crappy, cuz they LOVE it,,,,(must be like eating chips all day)....Im still gonna suppliment with some vitimins after this.just to be sure.
