| I know some people dont go for this, but bath her in Dawn, the plain blue kind.... that will kill any fleas on her and as long as you have treated all other areas it should help. I heard today that flea treatments are flying off the shelves because so many people are fighting them this year... good luck! d

| Flea's are bad this year. I've had my share of the problem too. When I was fighting to get control of the problem and get them gone here's what I did. I bathed my 3 in the original dawn dish detergent. I used Capstar, and frontline plus. We spray our yard with Permectrin II (I got that at our local Farmers Co-Op, its concentrated so you have to dilute it) and we sprayed every 2 weeks now hubby is cutting back to once a month. I may have been wrong to do this, but I didn't let my 3 go outside for a month until I knew the spray had time to start working. I cleaned up poop and pee everyday (2 of mine were pee pad trained so that helped on the clean up some what.) We also had our house and furniture sprayed. I washed all bedding(ours and theirs) in hot water and dried the bedding on the hottest heat. Vacuumed all mattresses. I pretty much gave my house an overall spring cleaning. I wish you good luck on getting your flea problem gone soon.

| Don't give up! Have you powdered your carpet or anything? Washed all the bedding and stuff like that? We just had them a few weeks ago, I gave her a bath in Dawn then got a Comfortis pill from the vet. I also used a flea powder for carpets, let it sit for 1 hour then vacuumed and have vacuumed pretty much daily since then. I made sure I washed her toys, my bedding, her bedding, her blankets, our blankets in hot water and then dried them on the hottest setting.

| Thank you all for your help! I have done EVERYTHING that you all did. Last thursday I applied the frontline plus..... Friday- Came home, Put carpet cleaner down, vaccummed, washed all our bedding, her bedding, and didnt see any on her Sunday- gave her a bath in the plain blue dawn- let it sit, rinsed, used some puppy shampoo/conditioner, thought all was good This Tuesday, I'm sitting there playing with her and 2 fleas were on her head.... Went and picked up a capstar on Wednesday.......gave her a bath again, and thought we were good. Well, went to a friends last night, and saw one on her head again, and her neck! friend gave me the spray- and so far this morning, i dont see any on her!? Im so frustrated because I live in the basement of a friends house- its all finished down here, real nice- well the neighbors have a pit/beagle mix that is strictly outside dog- and they dont take care of her, plus they have 2 cats, well Jay (home owner) called my boyfriend yesterday saying that the little girl next door ( jay's gfriend watches their kids all week) had a flea on her- so they are assuming Fiona is brining them in, but in my case, im thinking that its their house with the fleas and bringing them here? its just frustrating cuz i dont want them to kick us out because of this...

| We had a big flea problem too and since Maggie is allergic to flea bites she suffered from a bad dermatitis. Our Vet recommended Comfortis, a pill, and ever since we had no fleas at all and Maggie's skin is healed up. Even though there might be some side effects like vomitting and diarrhea none of my four had any problems. I like to mention that Maggie also has a very sensitive stomach and gets diarrehea and vomitting from nothing more than one piece of people food or even fireworks or sirens... |

| I would be VERY careful on putting any more poison in your yorkie.....these things are pesticides and they do have risks, they are hard on the livers for one thing........ The way it was explained to me is that products like Frontline do NOT repel fleas, the fleas will still jump on a pet. It works when the flea bites the pet and it is then exposed to the poison and then they die...... There are spray products at health food stores that will keep the flea from jumping and they are safer......

| What kind of stuff did you use on the carpet? I used this powder from Wal-mart that was like $10, it's safe to use around dogs but I still put Lilly up, I made sure I let it sit for at least an hour and I took a broom and kind of dusted it into the carpet... the smell is strong and kind of icky but it's better than having fleas.

| Have you thought of useing flea bombs in the house. You will have to be out for a couple hours but if you use the kind with growth inhibitors they work great and are better then putting more poisons on your dog |
