| Food question, Wellness? Hi, sorry. I've posted asking for help from anyone in the AB, area. The Grande Prairie area and I had posted in the sick/emergencies section last night, or was it the health and diet. Sorry. Anyways this is what i posted last night.............. Hi, everyone. Okay, so yesterday late afternoon Tila got sick, she vomited a couple times. It was yellow. Bile. She got sick twice, the whole day she was fine. Normal. Then late that night she went to the bathroom and it was very loose and smelly!! I thought oh, no. If she does it again or is still like that tomorrow I'll take her to the vet. Today she is fine. Her normal happy self. Her poo is also back to normal. Now today Odie vomited like four times, he threw up all the food that was in his belly. He had just eaten a little before. Then a little bit after he went to the bathroom and it was very loose and smelly!! If it was just one of them going through this I would keep it in mind and keep an eye on him/her, But to have both of them have these symptoms within 24 hours of each other concerns me. Tila eats anything she finds on the floor so I thought it may have been something she picked up, but with Odie doing the same thing. What's up? Now with the food recalls should I be concerned?? I'm feeding them Royal Canin. I know how everyone feels about this food. But it is my choice and it's the best food I can find around where I live. They haven't had any problems with the food before. They've been on it for awhile. We bought them a big bag, we just finished that one off on Sat, or Sun. I opened the small bag up and thats what they've been eating. I don't know what's going or what I should do. Anyone have any idea?? Thank you!!! Now I'm thinking about switching them foods and I found somewhere that has Wellness. I know a lot of people don't like Royal Canin, compared with Wellness, is Wellness the better of the two? The only thing I can think of my dogs feeling like this is the food, because they haven't eaten anything different and they haven't gotten into anything. So I'm going into the city Friday and want to get different food, to switch them over. Sorry again, that this is long and everything and thanks. |

| hmm... well is Odie back to normal now??? Has he had another meal since??? was he able to keep that down? I'd say with your girl.. it was just a whatever... Layla had that 5 days ago... puke... just bile.. and diarrhea... no apparent reason.. and like your girl.. it went away. But since Odie puked up food... i'd be a bit more concerned. I think wellness is a great food.. and compared to RC there is no corn which is great! just make the transition slowly. |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | I doubt the vomiting in both are related. She most likely threw up the bile because her tummy was empty. My Ramsey will do that.... And sometimes we have someone (not knowing who with three)...who will regurgitate the entire meal they just gulped down. To answer your question....yes, many people prefer wellness over royal canine. I personally thought it was a better food. RC sometimes makes them itchy.

| Well, Odie has gotten sick today and left a mess this morning. Tila has used to the bathroom and it has been soft and loose. They're playing and drinking and everything. They have food in their bowls but haven't eaten anything yet. So I don't know whats going on. And if I do end up switching them, will do it slowly. Thanks. |
