| does anyone know...?? Hello All. So I am going behind my vets back and changing my dogs food to Wellness Whitefish & Sweet Potato Recipe. He said I have to be on Hills I/D which I personlly HATE this food, it has horrible ingredents and they eat so much of it and they poop a lot and when they poop its not like its one poop its tiny little poops. So I am going to wait till the food is gone and go get some of the wellness. and they say that the wellness is good for sensitve tummies which he has, thats why they are on the I/D . And I told the vet about this and I said is their any other food that is good for his tummy thats better quality and he said no dont switch to anything!! So I was wondering if anyone uses the wellness whitefish and if they know the size of the kibble? I have 2 yorkies one is 3lbs and the other is 4 so they need small bites!! not to small but a normal size. please let me know if anyone knows!! Thanks

Donating YT 10K Club Member | I fed wellness fish and sweet potato for awhile...it is not a small kibble. Reggie has a sensitive tummy....after eliminating everything it could possibly be...I changed foods. Now I'm feeding Taste of the wild bison/venison. No more tummy issues!

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Ground Whole Grain Corn, Brewers Rice, Dried Egg Product, Chicken By-Product Meal, Corn Gluten Meal, Pork Fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols and citric acid), Powdered Cellulose, Dicalcium Phosphate, Chicken Liver Flavor, Iodized Salt, Potassium Citrate, Choline Chloride, Calcium Carbonate, Potassium Chloride, Dried Beet Pulp, Soybean Oil, vitamins (Vitamin E Supplement, Niacin, Thiamine Mononitrate, Vitamin A Supplement, Calcium Pantothenate, Biotin, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Riboflavin, Folic Acid, Vitamin D3 Supplement), Taurine, minerals (Ferrous Sulfate, Zinc Oxide, Copper Sulfate, Manganous Oxide, Calcium Iodate, Sodium Selenite), Ethoxyquin ^^^Those are the horrid ingredients, as you already know. I mean, THEY ADMIT to Ethoxyquin, for pete's sake!!! MORONS!! Anyone who recommends this food clearly has no real interest in a dog's health. Ethoxyquin is a carcinogen!! Considering the junk your vet is having you feed, you're smart to switch. You *could* always smash up the kibble yourself - I've done it - it's a pain, but it can be done. Some people like Natural Balance for sensitive dogs - but I don't know the kibble size. I guess more importantly - what are the symptoms that you're needing a specialty food for?

Well Peanut was having some blood in his poop, we took him to the vet and did xrays and blood work and the blood work was great but he said in the xray he had a lot of gas and his lower intestis were inflamed, he said he needs to be on sensitive stomach food. he has some diahrrah off and on like once a month and if he has any table food his tummy acts up. So thats really it other than that his skin and coat are great, he does lick his feet a bit. So i think getting him off Hills I/D but keep him on a sensitve stomach will be just fine! So out of those 2 what do you recomend? I need something with small bites

| Nature Variety New Zealand Venison is a small kibble......the kids seem to love it but is not an allergy formula! I also use the Natural Balance Duck and Potato and it is a very small kibble; perfect for our little ones! And it is also an allergy formula. I have had them on that for over a year now almost two! It's a great product!!!
