| Found a great new vet Just got back from a great vet appointment. I took Peanut and his kitty brother to a new(holistic)vet. Peanut got checked over and she said he looks great and she was very happy with the food he eats(orijen) He didn't even get any shots the only thing they did was a titer test for distemper/parvo and if he needs any thing the shot will be free. They were very happy to hear that I wanted to do the titer. As for Jasper(kitty) he didn't need anything only a neuter in October. The last vet gave him feline lukemia and she said he really did have to have that since he is a inside cat. It cost me $109. for Peanut that was the office visit -$10 for bring two the titer test and a stool sample. I would have paid more at the other vets because I don't do all the shot together. Also for the lepto she said the little ones have more reactions and unless we have rats, raccoons, dairy cows or water he does need it and that it is treatable. One more thing my little man is now 9 pounds but not over weight, guess it's welcome to the teapot club Peanut. If anybody is looking for a new vet in NJ her name is Dr. Judy Morgan with the Clayton Animal Hospital. |
