| ![]() I have no idea but maybe it is the purine content? If that is the case and there are no bladder issues then I don't think it is a huge deal. Hopefully somebody knows though. I give Ellie brown rice all the time.

| ![]() Brown rice is moderate in purines, so some caution if bladder issues, but it's high in manganese and some of the more symptomatic liver compromised dogs are sensitive to manganese...There's such a thing as manganese encephalopathy...
