				   | Olivia will be 6 months next week. I think she's about due for her spaying. I've been checking her teeth on a (nearly) daily basis and it seems like she hasn't lost a single baby tooth and isn't getting any of her adult teeth in yet. Should I hold off getting her spayed to see if her teeth begin to change? I hate to put her through 2 risky surgeries, but I'm scared to death of the cancer statistics of waiting to get a yorkie (or any dog) spayed. Everyone said that her once perky, now droopy ear was due to the fact that she's in her teething phase. It's still down, so I'm assuming that I haven't missed this process. Are the teething process and the timing of their heat connected at all? (If she hasn't begun teething yet, does that mean she'll come into her first heat later?) What are your suggestions? |

				   | I wanted to have Maximus teeth pulled at the same time he was neutered but the vet didn't want to pull some of them because they said that his adults teeth weren't ready to come in yet...that being said I had the neutering done and I am praying that the others will fall out (about 5)...if not by the age of 10 months..I will have to have them done ...I too hate the idea that he may have to go under 2x

				   | I waited until Roxy was 7.5 months. She had to have 9 teeth pulled (she had the double row thing going on). And I too was worried about TJ having the same problem but after reading the threads about Maximus I decided not to wait. TJ had an appt. immediatley and low and behold he started loosing teeth left and right. I didn't find any, I just started to noticed he was missing teeth :-) Anyway, I wound up having to cancel his neuter appt. b/c he got some kind of 'upper respiratory thingy' and had to be on meds for 14 days. He appt. is finally here on Friday. And I just found another tooth yesterday!!! His new teeth come in soooooooo fast...like the next day...how strange! Good Luck! |

				   | I had Jewels spayed at 6 months recently. I didn't see any adult teeth either but they pulled about 4 of her baby teeth.
