| Sammy is home :) he is sleeping right now. He was acting crazy when we went to pick him up so I was told to keep him sedated at least 2 weeks until my next follow up visit. I feel so bad for him. His poor little legs are shven. You really cn't tell how thin they are until you see them without hair! But seriously, he has 5 meds he has to take for 14 days and staples all over his legs. poor thing! he can't stand up, I have no idea how I'm gonna get him to pee. I tried putting him on a wee wee pad and holding his belly up and he fell. The cone on is head is huge and the smaller one is too small. I practically had to force him to eat his last pill. He did eat and drak a lot of water. I'm happy to have my baby home and jsut wanted to give you guys an update. |

| Awww, poor little Sammy. Once he realizes he is home with his Mommy, hopefully he'll perk up a bit. Hugs and prayers for a quick recovery on their way.

| You could make him a little soft collar with a little material and some stuffing. Make it like you would a sausage and you can cut a small shoe lace in half and swe on each end. Works great. Those cones are a bit barbaric. Poor little baby. What terrible thing to be going thru. Give him lots of "suggies" from me and my gals.

| I made a little 'sling' with a small baby blanket that I was able to use to help Roxy go potty the first couple of days. I bought the plastic play yard xpen from walmart. I only used 4 panels and made a small box enclosure, this was to ensure she COULD NOT start to run free and risk injury. She had to stay contained for 6 to 8 weeks the first time we did LP surgery (she had both legs done at the same time). It was rough, but very important. She slept for the first couple of days, then I carried her around as much as I could and then she had to remain in the pen |

| Thanks for all the suggestions! That fabric collar I think is a great idea and I'm gonna start working on it right away. And I also have been using the "sling" I used a thin baby towel. He took a few steps today and actually tried to get away from me! So i'm sure he'll ge tback to normal in a few weeks. mari |
