| Hair loss at vaccination sites? How common is hair loss at vaccination sites?? I've noticed that on at least two areas his hair is basically missing/fallen out?! He seems healthy and happy so I don't think it's bothering him. Any ideas or suggestions on how to prevent it or help heal it? There are no ulcers, lesions, bumps, etc. Just regular skin underneath.

| My Mom's dog had hair loss at his vacination site (before she owned him) and our vet is very careful now about any vacines and will not give any near each other due to the reaction he had....he is also titered... He also seems fine and the site does not bother him..it has been over 5 years now and there is still no hair there... They make sure to rub the area after and I guess "spread" the vacine... but he now only gets a rabies shot... I am not sure how common this is...but his former breeder said it did not disqualify him from showing...but then you could not see the spot with his long hair covering it...

| Vaccinations This is a very informative article from a vet, regarding vaccinations. Dr. Kimberly Parker - DVM I know this is a sensitive subject, but information is power and will help us all to make better, more-informed, decisions. A friends' dog got encephalitis from her shots, so I am concerned about my own dog. So I am researching and merely sharing my research. Thank you.
