| Fun... i know... just wanted to know if this sounds normal. Layla had an off day yesterday.. we were boating so she didn't eat much.. but then again she didn't DO much... so she ate when we got home.. around 4ish... i'd say.. maybe 1/4 c of food and then around 7 she had her kong with a bit of kibble and a few treats. She usually has her kong daily. And that was the last she ate for the day. Well this mroning aroud 7 am she puked up what my dad discribed to be kibble. Is it normal for her stomach to have not digested it.... over 12 hours later? |

| Usually when mine puke in the morning it's yellow (and on my pillow.. THANKS SAMMY! ) Anyway, Loki has puked solid food after many, many hours so while it's unusual it's probably OK as long as she's acting fine and keeping her breakfast down. Mine puke if they drink or eat too quickly (Loki) or don't get a treat before bed to settle their stomachs (Sam) or if I try to sleep in and don't feed them right away in the morning. If I wake up to them getting ready to puke it I usually grab them and put them in the bathtub. I *hate* puke.

| Oh no! Poor Layla! It sounds like it COULD be kibble, but I would doubt she hadn't digested it yet from the night before...Does she eat poop? I know, WAY gross, but Emma has eaten poo, then puked that up, and it looked like kibble, kind of. EW I can't even think about that. Try getting some yogurt into her to settle her tummy, and if she pukes again, I'd definitely call the vet!

| Mine puke Yogurt So i wouldn't necessarily try that. I hope she feels better! A nap always helps. Rice is our favorite thing around here for upset stomachs, but seriously I'm so used to it that unless they are acting strange I don't worry about it. My focus is usually stopping them from EATING whatever they puked up.Just to make you laugh, imagine me hearing one of them start to gag in the middle of the night, yelling NO!!!, grabbing them and RUNNING to the bathroom and putting them in the tub (it's easier to clean up if they puke in there! HA) Half the time Loki is too startled to puke anymore and looks at me like I'm crazy. Sammy always gets it all over herself and requires a bath. At 4am. Loki is neat and usually only needs his teeth brushed. And non-Yorkie people wonder why we compare them to children? I've got my routine of stripping the comforter (her 2nd favorite place) and putting it in the washing machine in the middle of the night I can do it in my sleep.

| Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Poor girl! For whatever reasons, the stomach *can* have delayed emptying sometimes; so, if it looked like kibble, it probably was. Maybe bc she had sort of an off day, her body was just a bit off and it threw her digestion. Not to be gross, but it's sort of like how humans can get sick - and if they vomit, sometimes it will contain some food from even 24 hours ago (sorry for that). So I would guess she just had some delayed emptying for some reason...hope she is feeling better!
