| Layla is suffering from the heat.. any other dogs? We are getting a heat wave! upper 90's today and coming up the next few days with the humidex. When she is at work with my mom.. there is air.. but it has a hard time keeping up so it's warm in there.. when we come home.. we have air but it has a hard time keeping up.. but it is comfortable inside. Layla has little interest in food and just wants to sleep. Anyone else's dogs suffering from the heat? She comes alive at night time.. we go for a walk (it will be too hot tonight) or she will play with her ball but during the day she has a rough time.. she also tends to eat in the evenings. Anything i can do to help her? |

| Sometimes it gets so hot here in Georgia, I just spritz my boys with a little water to cool them off. I just let them run around a little damp.

| Yes, it is hot here and Seymour just wants to lay around........ but we have AC...... so I don't think the heat is an excuse. I think that he just likes to sleep all day.

| Jamie doesn't like the heat either. And boy is it hot! But we have central air conditioning so inside our house it stays really cool. (I hate the heat too!) He only runs outside to potty and then runs right back in and eats some ice. After dark he would play outside all night if I let him.

| Yes it is extremely hot here in California! Over 100 ! I have central air condioning, and it is on all the time. I hate the heat too. My son is out of school so we have been staying up late, and sleeping in. Suzi our 5 month old yorkie is doing the same thing as we are ! She also loves to play in her water dish. Suzi gets all wet doing that and there is water all over the place, but she loves it ! I use potty pads and keep her indoors... Because of the extreme temp.

| Maybe wiping her down with a wet towel and keeping her damp will help. Or dipping her in water. That's what we are on the boat. It really revives Hot Rod.

| Leo loves to play in his wading pool and he adores ice to play with.... try keeping her a lil damp... my breeder told me they can keep cool through their feet so if you keep their feet cool they can stay cool. I just gave Leo a hair cut to keep him cool.

| I'm sorry she's not doing well in the heat Its always hot here in TX...probably close to 100 every day now. I don't think mine act any different though. When we come in from outside, they'll drink a lot of water, and Lacy will lay on the tile floor to cool off...but other than that they don't seem too bothered by the heat.

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | You might need to give her a puppy cut to alleviate some of the heat from her coat. Poor baby. We have a heat wave coming our way too.
