YorkieTalk Newbie! | Anxiety?? I am worried that my dogs has bad anxiety. He wont eat or drink anything when I am gone during the day. I use a kid gate in my kitchen so he has room to run around, play, eat/drink, and I even have a pee pad so he has a place to potty. I think when I leave he gets anxious and this causes his stomach to get upset. Sometimes I come home and he has had diarehha and has thrown up. I have taken him several times to the vet to ask if he is health or has stomach issues and he says he is fine (as long Marley doesnt throw up for three days straight). Does anyones elses dog get anxious or have stomach/digestive problems? He ususally will throw up like once every two weeks or so. HELP!!! I dont know what is wrong? |

| That used to happen - still does occasionally - with Maggie. It broke my heart - I'd come home to find everything EXACTLY the way I'd left it in the morning - she wouldn't touch her food, water, toys, etc. They get used to you being gone eventually. I've signed Maggie up for daycare 3 days a week - one of those days includes obedience training which is a bonus! The daycare has definately helped with the anxiety she experiences when we're gone all day at work. It helps me too because I HATE being away from her! Can you get a dog walker to come a couple times a week to break up the long days? Oh also, it might work - Rescue Remedy is an all-natural miracle potion! I found the info on this site and have been so pleased with it! You can get it at vitamin shops or Whole Foods. It totally mellows her out!

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | How old is he and what are you feeding? So, how often exactly does he vomit and have diarrhea and is it always at the same time, or are they different episodes? Are you feeding the same thing all the time? Have you thought about a S.E.P. collar? WELCOME TO YT!

YorkieTalk Newbie! | I will try to answer everyones questions. I am not sure I can afford a dog day care??? Last time he threw up it was about two times and it looked like he had gone diarehha like five times and this was all in one day. He threw up by his food and in his bed and then there was brown liquid everywhere and a puddle of pooh and some soft pooh. What is this collar everyone is talking about? And last, he eats royal canin and sometimes ukanuba. |

| DON'T WORRY SWEETIE! I HATE LEAVING IZZY AT HOME WHILE I AM AT WORK AND I HATE IT JUST AS MUCH AS SHE DOES! DO SOME GOOGLE SEARCHES ON SEPARATION ANXIETY & FIND SOME TIPS THAT HAVE BEEN SUGGESTED! THERE ARE TONZ OF PEOPLE OUT THERE WILLING TO HELP! ALSO, IF YOU CAN NOT AFFORD DOGGIE DAYCARE FOR THREE DAYS, I'D SUGGEST MAYBE TAKING THEM AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK TO GET SOME PLAYTIME IN WITH OTHER DOGS AND PEOPLE. MY SISTER USED TO TAKE HER DOG TO DOGGIE DAYCARE & HE LOVED IT SO MUCH HE WOULDN'T WANT TO LEAVE (IT WAS REALLY CUTE ACTUALLY) GOOD LUCK!
