| Orijen dog food, I recently tried Orijen dog food I recently tried Orijen Dog food adult formula. My maltese and yorkie love it. I have given them for about 2 months. I still cook for them and I give them orijen in the evening. So it's a combination of home cook. Well I notice that Orijen doesn't give negatif result so I will continue giving them Orijen. Have you guys tried Orijen dog food? I gave them today Orijen 6 fresh fish formula. To be honest, when I opened the bag, I smelled really the fresh fish from the kibble. I then gave to my babies and they ate all the kibbles like they didn't eat for the whole day. So I will keep you inform the result in the future! |

| i feed coco orijen 6 fresh fish and he gobbles it up like there's no tomorrow. i mix it with natural balance potato and duck formula though because he started to gain weight on orijen and i wanted to balance the high protein in orijen with a lower protein one. he gets kibbles in the morning and NV raw medallions at night. i don't know if you heard about some big sharp bone fragments in certain lots of orijen fresh fish a month or so ago. i had a big bag that matched the lot number so i contacted the manufacturer and they are sending me a new bag as replacement. | Thank You Ugh! I have been feeding Charlie the food with the lot 82660, poured it out and sure enough there was a visible bone protruding from a piece of kibble. The kibble would cut the gum easily, and he hasn't wanted to eat it. Of course, I am almost finished with the bag, and returning to pet store tomorrow. Did write a letter to Champions and believe this is "old news" and they were caught.

| Bone Shards in Orijen Received a reply from Champions and gave my natural pet food supply store a "heads-up". Took the pieces of kibble in with the bone shards, copy of picture with bigger shards from internet and correspondence with Champions to pet store. At this point, I am not buying anymore Orijen until this problem shakes out. My pet store was shocked because Champions has been "mum". Anyway, giving Charlie Evo "Small Bites" grain-free and have a sample of Natural Planet Organics "Chicken" which smells good and he gobbled it up.

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | I had both of my babies on the Orijen 6 Fresh Fish for a while and they both LOVED the food (I had NEVER seen my Stedman eat kibble that well before in his entire life! ) - however, I had to take them off of it after only a very short while as they started gaining alot of weight on it - Tatum especially, and she was already chubby enough! It is a GREAT food but unfortunately I found that the protein content in it was just too high for my babies. P.S. - Yes, the smell is VERY fishy!!
