Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I do - I cook enough for about 3-4 weeks and take out of the freezer as needed - It's all cut and ready for them and only takes a day to thaw in the fridge |

| Me too ! I can do it in my sleep now ! Sometimes I think they eat better than us ! I make enough for about 2 weeks ( I have 3 yorkies)...And now (past 2 yrs) that I have made their food, I don't have to coax them to eat ...You know, sitting on the floor with dog food in your hand 'asking' and then 'telling' them to come here and eat !!! Putting grated cheese on it , etc...Now, I boil ground turkey and add shredded raw veggies and fruit...And after, they have watermelon etc...Good life

| Yes, you can freeze it. Supplementing and getting ratios right is the hardest part but you can always hire a nutritionist.

| That is hard to answer because there are but that doesn't mean they are balanced. Some people follow Dr. Pitcairn's diet but make sure to get the newer edition of his book because the old one is a bunch of nonsense in my opinion. You can also buy a recipe from BalanceIT's website. You can either buy the one that uses BalanceIT or the one that uses human supplements. I would go with the human supplements. Ultimately I think talking to a nutritionist is best though. I would not just go buy a book and trust it without researching...

| I use Dr. Pitcairn's book as a general guide-but I don't follow it to a T. I use his Healthy Powder recipe for supplements. My dogs eat their meat raw, but I do include some cooked grain or carbohydrates and vegetables into their diet, along with legumes and fish. I have been homecooking for a year, and got started with the help of other YT'ers-Marcerella02, Yorkieluv, and Yorkiedaze were all great resources. If you have any questions or need help getting started, please ask-I would love to help you out!
