				   | Hi everyone. My name is Kim and I am new to the board. I have a yorkie named Sassy and she is in heat right now. I have another male dog and we have kept them seperated. It has been about 3 weeks and I noticed that her teats (nipples) have swollen. Is this normal while in heat. Thanks for any help. Kim |

				   | Hi and Welcome to YT! My Sydney just came out of her heat cycle. I too have noticed her teats are larger than normal. (I bred her tho) Not an expert here so maybe someone will give you the answer you need.

				   | My Meeka is 10 months old and she hasn't had her 1st heat cycle yet. How old are all of your yorkies? I am worried that she is late in coming into heat. |

				   | I am so glad to find this thread. I put off having my little CC spayed--I just forget with how little she is (6 lbs-small to me) but I noticed the other day that she is in her first heat cycle--I'm assuming it just started--I've never done this before and she will be 1 on the 26th. My male is neutered but he is sure interested in her more since this has transpired--I don't know a whole lot about this! |

				   | Yes it is normal, she may even gain a little weight if this is her first heat cycle. She should go back to normal in a few weeks.
