| Should I feed puppy in the crate? Ive heard it said both ways. That if you feed in the crate they will want to potty in it and Ive heard to feed in the crate helps with crate training. Im asking this because I'm having a hard time getting Triss to eat much. When I feed her she will take a few bites or lick out some of the wet food then run and play. I wonder if feeding her in the crate would be less distracting for her. But I don't want her pottying in the crate either. I've resorted to putting the food directly on the floor (worked a few times) and handfeeding her (worked a few times). I cant keep the food out long or my other dog comes by and eats it.

| Yes, feed her in the crate. She won't be more likely to potty there unless she doesn't have the opportunity to go outside after eating. You might try a Kong toy, you can put the food inside the toy and let her work to get it out, it's fun and it gives them something to do while in the crate. Good Luck!! |
