| Sunshine has always had a lot of mucus in her eyes.. we call them eye boogies. Some dogs are just more prone to them than others. It has to do with the size of their tear ducts.

| There can be many reasons for the mucus. If it is yellowish or green, you might want to check with the vet. I have a Bichon who has "Dry Eye" and his eyes get extremely mucusy, due to it, even though he is on drops and med, daily for the condition as it doesn't go away. He is blind now too, (due to diabetes) but still has the dry eye condition.

| Distilled Water!! It sounds crazy but it works. I don't know who but someone on here told me to try it and it works. Baxter has much less now. He wasn't having much at all after I started the distilled water but now that his hair is growing and aggravating them he has more. Getting that hair cut Friday! Seriously - try the distilled water. Worked within a few days for me. Good Luck! |

| Yep - to drink. I've seen a few people post this, and I'm going to try it myself; tired of cleaning them out because my baby hates the cleanings! |

| You need to take her to your vet as it could be a number of things, like conjunctivitis or even KCS (dry eye) which my Lady has. Since her vision could be at stake, you don't want to self diagnose. |

| I will try the distilled water. Never hear that one, but its worth the chance. My yorkies are use to me cleaning them out. I hate it sometimes it looks like you don't clean them after you know you have. But they seem to want it cleaned out as well. So will get me some water and see if that works.
