YorkieTalk Newbie! | breeding i just had my male yorkie breed for the first time and ever since he has acted different, he is using the bathroom in the house and sometimes he does not want to come into the house after going outside to use the bathroom, it is like he wants me to take him somewhere, has anyone else had any problems like this??? | breeding It is hard to have a stud dog as a pet..sometimes it works, others become markers and such...not much helps but neutering, even that can take time to kick in...best wishes |

YorkieTalk Newbie! | breeding..... so have I ruined him, is this to be expected after breeding them, he is such a good dog but this is a little irritating. Will he act like that from here on out? He is not marking in the house, he is pooing in the house. I had no idea it would change him like that. |

| Yep, unfortunately this is a common 'change' that happens w/ males after they have become studs. This behavior will more than likely be permanent. (Even if he is nuetered down the road.) If it makes you feel any better, you are not the first (or the last) who were unaware in advance of this 'change.' |

| breeding If you are not planning on having a stud dog, I would neuter him and he should return to his normal behavior in a few weeks..(finger crossed)..leaving him unneutered can lead to future indoor marking...if you start breeding him regular, you can all but guarantee a bad house boy. How old is he? |
