| Dry Food or Home Cook food for Puppy Hi all, I just got a puppy yorkie, she is about 11 weeks old. I am wondering if I should feed her dry food or home cook food for her. I read some posts on internet and they say homecook food is better, but others say dry food is better. They have recommanded me royal canin. What do you guys think of that brand? And if I want to home cook, is my puppy too young for it? And what kind of vitamin and suppliments do you guys recommand? |

| Royal Canine is an OK food.. it often causes dogs to be very itchy. If you want to go with a kibble i'd suggest Canidae or Wellness. I home cook however I don't know the specific needs for a puppy. You might want to get the book by Dr. Pitcairn on home cooking, this is what i use and they do talk about the specific needs for a puppy. |
