Question about using Dawn and Advantage - YorkieTalk.com Forums

I've used Dawn to give Coco baths to get rid of the 1 or 2 fleas that are on her. But I also apply Advantage monthly. So if I use the Dawn, does that strip the Advantage right off? Do I need to reapply Advantage after every Dawn Bath?

Good question I give dawn baths for fleas but I dont know the answer

I would bathe first, wait 4 days, and put the advantage on.

I have been dealing with FLEAS for a month and im about to just cut my own head off!

I have done EVERYTHING, and they are still crawling on my poor baby.....

TREAT THE YARD AND HOUSE!

do not keep putting advantage on, monthly is what you gotta do, or just call your vet!

Dawn will wash away the advatage. Actually, any shampoo with soap in it will wash away topical flea and tick treatments.

the package says this :

Advantage remains efficacious following a shampoo treatment, swimming or after exposure to rain or sunlight.
Monthly treatments are required for optimal control and prevention of fleas.
If re-treatment becomes necessary earlier than four weeks, do not re-treat more than once weekly.
