| YT 500 Club Member | Mine is on meds year round. In the winter she is on Interceptor, and in the summer she is on Sentinal. We get the test about every two years. Yes, I sometimes don't want to get the test because I am very, very regular with her meds, and the test is very expensive. I also believe that she should not need the test if she takes the meds, but our vet tech said that the pills are just like birth control, it is not 100% effective.

| Thank you MyFairLacy and YorkieRose for your explanations. Whatever my vet tells me ,I do. I just wasn't sure why the testing yearly if the meds are taken. I never even gave it a thought that an owner would lie to the vet! You learn something new on the site everyday, at least I do. Thanks again, |
