| I use both, though I think the spray is less intense. The gel seems very concentrated and they hate the taste. The spray seems lighter, though both work very well.

| I have both and I use both but I had ordered the Salmon flavored gel and the pups really don't like the taste!! They said that the salmon oil makes it more palatable for dogs and cats but mine like the original flavor better. I don't know if they even sell the salmon one anymore!

| I use both. I mostly use the gel, but on days I don't, I use the spray. Its much easier. I have those finger brushes, but I also use a Q-tip as well sometimes. They hated the spray at first, but now they are use to it.

| I'm so glad you started this thread! I was just getting ready to do the same! I need to start doing something for their teeth and I think Petzlife is going to be the next thing I try. I've tried brushing A.J's teeth before and he hated it! I also bought a "tooth brushing-toy"...like a bone shaped chew toy with bristles on the end...he hated it, it just made his gums bleed I think I'm going to start with the gel and see how that goes...Now, is there anyone on here that sells it for a good price?

| Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I use the gel - just bc I think the spray is sort of "startling" you know what I mean? So, we just put a bit on our finger - and put in their mouth, rub on teeth just before bed time. We don't brush. We dont' brush bc we're basically horrible, neglectful, unworthy parents - in a nutshell. Marcel - who has not been on kibble (eats NV Raw) since 4.5 mths old has perfectly white teeth - he is now 1.4 years old. Wylie - who is 3.5 years old - has never had dental work - his teeth have actually cleaned up remarkably just from being on raw, and intermittent use of Petzlife (we've actually been really lax about it). I just looked at his teeth for you - they are white with a few spots of tartar - nothing to warrant any dental work at all.

| I think I'll buy the gel, since most people like it better. I was gonna get the spray, figured it'd be quick and easy for him. I like the idea of just using a q-tip and rubbing it on his teeth. That might work better for him. He'll let me pull his lips out and get to the outside of his teeth but forget about opening his mouth for the insides. He's so strong! He just clamps his jaw down soo hard and I can't open it for anything! My parents dog didn't like us opening his mouth but we could. Not Meeko! For those of you who are using the gel with either a brush of q-tips, do you rub along the inside of their teeth too? Another poster, not sure which thread but I know I read it recently, said not to worry about the inside of their teeth. That the tartar forms on the outside. Is that true? I've been wrestling with him for a week now, hoping after a few weeks he'll get use to it and realize its not do bad. |

| I just ordered the gel and the spray. Cordy is so persnickity, so I ordered the salmon flavor hoping it will make things easier on him, but I doubt it. Now, for the brushing part.. do you use wipes, a toothbrush or what?

| I bought the salmon flavoured gel 2 weeks ago because the store didn't carry the normal gel. It is actually pretty easy to apply. Put some on a finger and just rub it in along the gum and teeth. Even if they don't open their mouth, you can still slip your finger in easily. I didn't buy the spray because mine hates the noise from his conditioning spray so I figure he wouldn't like the Petzlife spray either.
