| Gaining weight after being fixed? Is it normal for females to gain weight after being fixed? My Kaylee has gained about 1-2lbs in the few months since we had her fixed. We did change her food around that time but my other two didn't seem to be affected at all. It just seems odd, especially since her activity level hasn't gone down any.

| I guess I should also add that she was full grown (4 years old) when she was fixed

| Yes, it can be normal. Have you tried reducing her food intake?

| I've always free fed mine, I wonder how hard it would be for them to switch after so long. Might end up trying that though. My vet always told us we were one of the lucky few who have multiple dogs that share a food bowl and are all a good weight. I guess our luck has run out though

I think that is the only thing you can do to monitor her.
