not mean that it is the "best". We need to keep in mind that cost does not necessarily equate to quality......as in anything...... I am sure you all have heard horror stories how a "costly" procedure failed or had to be redone... Just keep an open mind....JMHO

Kathy, you are in Manhattan, correct? I have a pair here who needs to be spayed and neutered and I don't think there is any way anyone here will even come close to those prices. My vets here did a wonderful job on my Dobie's ears, but I have never needed a "real" surgery done and am not sure where else to go.

I live north of Manhattan about an hour. The vets actually have an office 12 miles south of me in a town called Blue Rapids. Their practice is called Prairie Valley Vet clinic. I can give you the number if you would like to talk to them. For surgery, you usually leave the dog off in the morning (8 am) and pick them up after lunch, around 2. If I cannot be there at 8 I have also left them the night before, but I don't like to do that as they have to spend the night in a cage in a strange place. If you do it in the "summer" I will be off and can show you my Biewers and eat lunch together before you head back.
