Yorkie Yakker | Hi I have a question about Yorkie fur? Hi I am completely new about this, my Jack is the first Yorkie I have ever had so please excuse my ignorance about not knowing details about the fur. Okay the question is about the fur, because I know that a Yorkie is known to be a supposedly non shedding dog, but he is nearly nine months old and I am noticing batches of fur all over the place. As well we have been noticing a few small bald patches, PLEASE if there is anything to worry about PLEASE PLEASE let me know soon as you read this I am starting to worry and I am not sure what to think. Thanks ahead for your personal time Jack and our family truly appreciate it. Have a Happy Easter. Jackie and his mom |

| If he has patches of hair loss, I would get him checked by the Vet. It could be an allergy of some sort or a type of mange. is he itching. There are some very helpful individuals on this web site that may can be more familur with this. Good luck and I hope your baby is o.k. |

Yorkie Yakker | Thanks It didnt seem right, but my Sheppard used to shed a lot this time of year and my husband was assuming that it was either that or his baby fur. I told him it didn't seem right so I came to the web site I am quickly learning to trust and depend on with regards to my Yorkie. Wow I wish I would have been able to have been able to contact people for questions and answers when my children were young, maybe my doctor would have slept better. Take care, Jackies mom |

| Do you brush your Yorkie on a regular basis? Timmy doesn't shed much but I brush him every day and the little bit of hair that he does lose comes out when i brush him. But I would go see a vet if he is itching alot and has bald spots. Hope you figure out what the problem is.

Yorkie Yakker | Thanks and yes I do brush him all the time. He is an indoor dog so he definitely hasn't been in contact with other pets, I also bath him every couple of weeks, I was actually hoping that he was either loosing his baby fur or loosing some fur because our freezing winter is finally starting to settle. Before literally two days ago as much as I brushed him I would hardly see more hair then I would if I brushed my own hair (probably less). Thanks though, I am starting to worry. There won't be a vet opened until Tuesday because here in Canada they celebrate Good Friday and Monday to cover for Easter on Sunday. Happy Easter and please let me know If you find any more information. I didn't want to, but I may to go searching in my Yorkies for Dummies book, its just that I seemed to have learned way more here then by all the books I have read and the books make me feel uninformed, since they cant answer specific questions. Thanks again Jackies mom |
