| Bruise on neck after neuter? Xavier was neutered on Monday of this week and I noticed today while I was brushing him that his neck has a large, red spot on it...Could this be a bruise from the surgery? I'm freaking out about it...have you guys ever had this happen to one of your babies? I'm pretty sure I'm going to call the vet in the morning about it.

| If you got preop blood work, it is from that. Ellie gets them all the time from blood draws because she wiggles when they take it. It's very normal as long as it goes away in probably less than a week and isn't bumpy.

| Also, if he had an IV during surgery, that's almost surely where it would have been and a lot of times, when they remove it, it oozes a little bit under the skin (that's one reason why you hold pressure over a needlestick, so you don't end up with a bruise). Hope he's doing fine otherwise.
