| Wellness Core I just called to get some samples before I buy a bag. I was thinking of trying the core diet since both the dogs and cat eat orijen. Has anyone tried this yet? My daughter also works for Petvalu and she gets a discounts so that would be a plus. |

| i was going to get it for Layla, however after talking to the store owner i decdied not to.. that's the allergy formula right? The woman i was talking to said it is an allergy formula because they can get very rare meats.... like deer... but she said the quality of the meat can be iffy.. it's not like they are breeding healthy deer just for dog food and usually end up getting what is left over from when people hunt the animals. That really turned me off of it. I home cook and occassionally have to rely on kibble but i didn't like the idea of the main meat source being what's "left over" |

| The wellness core is the no grain, I think you can get it in all the regular type meats. I will check it out before I use it thanks for the info. |

| We are feeding our furkids Wellness Core We are feeding our two 3 1/2year olds a combination of Wellness Core Low-Fat Formula & Natural Balance Organic Formula . The proportion that we give them is 2:1. The reason we combine them is they've been on NB Organic ever since we got them and they thrive on them but sometimes they get bored with it. And since they have a history of medical problems ( they have to have a diet of low-fat food) we have to watch the fat contents of everything that we feed them. Wellness Core was ranked higher than NB Organic formula, another reason we tried it. They are on their second bag of Wellness Core Low-fat formula and they like it and they don't poo as much as when they were only on NB Org. Formula alone. Wellness has redefined the world of grain-free, high-protein dog food! CORE Reduced Fat Formula is a more thoughtful grain-free alternative to diets in the marketplace delivering the meat content consumers are looking for, without the excess fat, calories or minerals their dog doesn’t need. Supporting dog’s HEALTHY WEIGHT to the CORE… A grain-free choice for dogs over 1 year who are less active or need to lose weight. More Meat from Only the Highest Quality, Human-Grade Source 80% more meat than traditional dog foods that are formulated with grains while still controlling mineral and fat levels! 5 Different Animal Protein Sources - USDA grade, Ethoxyquin-free, Deboned Turkey with high quality (low Ash) Turkey & Whitefish Meals and Chicken Liver Grain-Free and Lower Carbohydrates 100% Grain Free Contains 35% less carbs than traditional Reduced Fat diets Potatoes and Sweet Potatoes provide energy giving carbs and help keep the kibble firm Carefully Regulated Mineral Levels to Support Overall Metabolic Function We control minerals by using expensive lower ash, higher-quality meats that are carefully chosen and screened for the calcium and phosphorus levels High levels of Calcium and Phosphorus interfere with the absorption of trace minerals like Zinc and Iron. Over time, this can lead to deficiencies and result in poor growth rates, skin lesions, and red blood cell levels and many other health conditions We guarantee the maximum levels of calcium and phosphorus on every bag, unlike competitors who either do not list these numbers in the GA or simply put minimum amounts where actual levels can fluctuate above AAFCO maximums Preventative Health Benefits Fish & Flax Omega Blend provide a rich supply of Omega 3 & 6 fatty acids from salmon oil, flax and canola oil. | I just started feeding wellness and wellness 95% as a topper, Kramer loves it, the poops are smaller, so i love it. I buy mine at pet value also and they had samples for me to try first, but they are all different. Anyway i'm happy with it, i especially like the fact that the kibbles are small, he hates to have to chew alot. |
