| Switching Food So. My kiddos are 2 years 3 months, and 1 year 7 months. It took me forever to find a food that they didn't have loose stools, or throwing up with. Once I finally found it, it ended up being Science Diet, and I had to mix it with another kind because of the high protein issues making them sick. I know it isn't the best dog food but after weeks and weeks of them having trouble handling all kinds it's the only thing they kept down and had normal stools. My vet was involved in the process. They have started itching and my male has runny eyes. So. I made the decision to start searching. I've read so many great things about Canidae (which is one that I didn't not try in the beginning) on here, so I bought it yesterday (canned and dry). My question is, do I switch them slowly? Do I need to mix it with their old? They loved the canned, but have yet to touch the dry. So, I'm thinking mixing it might help. But I'm not sure. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance!!!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | When switching foods I always mix it a little at a time since 2 of mine have sensitive tummies.

| Thank you! I really appreciate your response. I've been hitting refresh as I am doing a study guide hoping that someone will respond. Mine have super sensitive stomachs too! I was really nervous about the switch! I went ahead and mixed it. I free feed and they haven't really looked at the food since I gave them the 1/4 cup of canned this morning. So we'll see! Thanks again!

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I have always been told to always change foods graudally. I have just changed Nolee to adult. I have done it over a period of 7 days as suggested. He seems to be doing great! Good Luck!

| I know that anytime I change canned foods, mine get some runny poops. We've always used Royal Canin dry but I change to different canned stuff - I figure they get bored! I typically mix Canidae with another brand (Innova or others) since I find it's very dry for a 'wet' food.
