| Hi everyone, thanks for all of your help and concern. I called and got my baby in the vet earlier, I was concerned because he had not eaten all day and slept almost all day long. The vet gave him a shot and gave me some antibiotics to give him. He also told me to put kayo syrup in his water if his sugar seems to drop after the medicine cause sometimes that will happen. He told me not to give him the medicine that the breeder gave me. I also got him canned food tonight and he LOVED it. He is eating so much better, ate a ton. He is much more active now and seems to be feeling better. He also hasn't coughed since he got his shot, so thats good. Thanks for all your concern and tips! |

| So glad you got him in! What did the vet think the problem was?

| I'm glad he is getting better already after the shot. It's a good thing you got him in when you did, poor baby. Good to hear he is eating and enjoying his canned food. He might not want to go back to his regular food after having the canned.

| I don't blame you at all! Let the little guy eat all the canned food he wants!

| wow, what you had gone through sounds soo similar to what i was facing with my lil Kyie (she was only 9 weeks at that time). Unfortunately we had taken her to the vet, and she had kennel cough, and a collapsing trachea (the did an xray). She could have coughing fits for up to 45 mins, then she stopped eating. She was very run-down and we were afraid that we couldn't take care of her the way she would have needed it (i had just started a full time internship) and returned her to the breeder, we only had her for one week, and boy was it tough. The breeder did say that she had started eating her and i'm assuming she's a healthy little girl.. It was totally heartbreaking. I hope your little one gets better and bounces back 100%!!!

| Aww.. I'm sorry to hear you had to get rid of your baby!! He seems to be doing better today, he's eating really good. His cough seems to only be bad right when he wakes up! He has also been sleeping alot, but im assuming its because he doesnt feel well and maybe the medicine makes him sleepy. He loves his medicine lol I was shocked. After I gave it to him he was licking his lips and trying to lick the bottle lol. He's so crazy! But I love him! Thanks again everyone! |
