| flea/tick/heartworm medication Hey guys, So I need more advice. My lila uses Advantage multi which is a combo flea/tick/heart worm med. What do you guys use/recommend? I like that it is a combo but the medication stinks, and spreads all over her hair so I'm always nervous that she's going to lick the medication. -Lila's mom

| My first choice is Interceptor, followed by Heartgard, followed by Heartgard Plus for heartworm. For fleas, I would try Dawn dish soap and Program first. If that didn't work I might consider Frontline.

| I give my dog intercept also and frontline for fleas, but someone told me the other day she never gave her dog anything for heartworm, she said she never heard of a dog having heartworms and the vets just try to push this on everyone, plus its so expensive. What is your opinions. |

| Heartworms come from the bites of mosquitoes. You have mosquitoes, you run the risk of heartworms. My four are on Revolution combination. Have one that is allergic to Frontline and another to Heartguard.
