| $80- to rewrap splint??????? Well, Banjo went back to the Vet school - and got his splint wrap changed! They said it looked good! come back next week for Xrays! It cost $80.00- I did not think it would cost that much!!! And this splint is tighter- higher up on his leg- and he cannot walk well with it! And he chewed at it some last night- and he never chewed on the other once!!! Of course being a teaching hospital, we got a different vet, and student! But I wish the 1st ones had redone the splint- e got along so well on that one! Bummer! I might call them, but I cannot pay $80 again!!!!!!!

| Hmmm, I can see why they would charge that much but I wouldn't be happy. Appointments are about $40 and then maybe another $40 for the rewrap? It is follow-up though, so they shouldn't charge you for the appt. I would want to pay maybe $40 maximum.

| Anytime you need to come back for a follow-up appointment, make sure you make it before you leave the office and tell them it's for a "follow-up". Seems you were charged for an office call. I'd call and let them know. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | When I was at the ER with Cali Saturday night a girl was in their with her 20 lb cat that had torn all the tendons in his paw and she couldn't afford surgery so she told me she brought it in every week for a splint change and it cost 50.00 and that was at an expensive er Hospital.

| Make sure it's not TOO tight and cutting off circulation. If he didn't bite on the other one, this one may be hurting him somehow.

| The bill states: Orthopedic recheck exam- ---$35.00 Splint - small patient----------$45.00 Ellie May, I am like you I thought it would be not over $40.00! this is the MU Vet School- my vet would of charge me maybe $20, but he has no xray's in his private pratice! and I am not even happy w/ the splint this time!!!

If a student did anything to treat Ellie, I would want them paying me.

| They just called me back! The office call was 35! They had to redo the whole splint so it was $45!! Then I ask to speak to someone because I had questions about his splint being tight- and him not walking as well as he did in the other one! They told me to check his toes- I said his toes are covered up in this one- she said no they are not- I put it on him! His toes are covered in this one- have been sice thye pu this one on him- the last one you could see his pa this one- not even his nails are sticking out! I know that for a fact! sometimes people just make me MAD!!! THEN THEY SAID TAKE HIM TO HIS REG VET! sO i CAN PAY HIM TO DO RIGHT WHAT YOU WERE TO DO????? i THINK i NEED A FEW DEEP BREATHS

| They obviously should re-wrap it for free if he is the least bit uncomfortable. IMO that's just common sense.

| i would complain again and demand that they make it right. Even if they are students, part of the learning process should be fixing mistakes.
