ya start with cooked one day you'll venture .. it's very very safe but can be hard to wrap your head around

Last time I was in canada was when I was 6... clearly I have no recollection of that trip... I thought it meant like pooch and not pouch... well I do have canned tuna and salmon at home, so I know what that means now... lol.. my name is Marci I taught Suzy and she's taught me... i can answer for her and she can answer for me we have the same ideas when it comes to homecooking except she makes "receipes" and i just cook up meat and veggies separately and put them together when i thaw them for the day... but it's SO nice to have her approach it one way and i do it another way

As Marci said, I feed the meat raw because it's the "natural" way dogs would eat their meat...their tummies can digest raw meat usually without a problem. Cooking meat & veggies can remove some of the nutrients, so feeding raw provides a greater amount of vitamins and food value.

LOL at you two and the canned/pouch/pooch salmon and tuna!!!

We have the option between canned and pouch fish-usually the fish in the pouches is higher quality than the stuff in the can, so that's why I use the pouches. I have used canned before too.

Yep, Marci helped me get going, and before I knew it, I was off and running!

I used to freeze everything separately, but I found I was constantly throwing away plastic bags and washing more tupperware than necessary. It was too wasteful for my conscious...so, I found that I can mix up 3-4 recipes in an hour or so, and freeze everything together. I started using tupperware so that it was reusable...I bought a couple 4-packs of cheap tupperware with bright orange lids at the dollar store to make them identifyable!

I do have a question for all you homecooker. My older dog a shepard mix has never been a kibble kind of girl, so I always put some leftovers in her meals. Is it ok to mix the kibble with the home meals? I use origen kibble, this is the only kibble she will eat. I also started to mix with Peanut, he loves everything. He eat better than my kids.

Yes, it is fine but I wouldn't use more than about 20% homecooked because otherwise you would need to use supplements.
