| Canidae ? I am having the hardest time keeping his bag of Canidae fresh. it always gets a nasty smell. He won't even eat it anymore. He doesn't like Merricks, He use to like Innova but got tired of that. I am trying a small bag of Chicken Soup now. I don't know what else to try if he turns his nose up again. He will love the food and then after a while not want it anymore. Grrrrr

| He usually can't handle the soft food. It gives him the runs. He may just need a change. I know we don't eat the same food over and over. Who knows he is so picky.

| How big a bag are you buying and how long does it take for him to eat a bag of food? Mine will go through a bag in a week so it always seems fresh. I feed both Canidae and Chicken Soup. |

| You could try Wellness, Natural Balance.... If the food smelled any difference from when I iopened it, I wouldn't feed it.

| Iwas buying a 5 lb bag of Canidae. I have had that for almost a month now and he has only gone through about half of it. I just bought a 6 pound bag of Chicken Soup. He has actually eaten right much of that this morning. He seems to like it. The Canidae smelled just fine when I bought it. After awhile it looses it smell.

| I don't know what it is. It just really doesn't have a good smell later. I am thinking he should be eating way more than he does. I have tried to keep it in a storage container and it still doesn't help.

| Any brand of dog food can go bad if not stored properly. I did get a bag of Canidae one time that had a funky smell. If food is stored in a hot warehouse or in a hot truck to long then that can make it go bad faster. In general, my Yorkies like the Chicken Soup Puppy better than the Canidae but they do not like the Chicken Soup adult as much as they like the Canidae All Stages. Mine also really like the Canidae Lamb and Rice. |

| It could be how the food was stored before being sent to the store. I didn't think about that. So far he likes the CHicken Soup Adult. If this doesn't work I will give the others a try.
