| Canned salmon is the one that's not recommended...Does anyone worry about mercury content?

| My husband bbq's salmon once a week and the girls always get some and a little baked sweet potatoe. I butter the outside of the potatoe, wrap in foil and put on the grill about 1/2 hour before the salmon. I wouldn't use canned salmon, but the pouches are ok. |

| Salmon is great for our dogs but GREAT for us too! Eat up everyone! I have a good salmon salad I make Grilled Salmon filet use your fav BBQ sause toss field greens/or buttery lettuce with black beans whole kernel corn and tortilla crisps. Use a chipolte or some kind of a smoky vinegrette! I think a raspberry vinegrette would be good also! Enjoy! Oh and save some salmon for the babies b4 the BBQ sauce!

| I am going to have o write that recipe down...mmmmmgood. Boy these kids are eating good since I am home cooking....tonight they got steamed carrots, boiled chicken and sweet potatoes with some butter "spread" on it. They are just lovin' it. Does anyone feed their furkids the skins to the potatoe...I have always thought it was the most healty part of the potatoe but not sure if it is good for the furkids. I always eat the skin....love it well done with butter or a butter flavored spread (I don't eat much butter). Tina

| You have to be careful with potato skins, especially if they are green because green potatoes are toxic... http://www.envtox.ucdavis.edu/cehs/TOXINS/dogs.htm

| I would not feed my yorkies raw salmon......could have salmonella. I do worry about mercury, so I don't give them very much.
