I'm about to pull my hair out! Gracie is in her first heat.

It's actually pretty funny but good grief! Cody is insane! At first he was wearing a bellyband, HA! we were going through 8 of them a day! So he now wears pampers wrapped around him like a bellyband. Cody is nonstop going through the motions on Gracie. She of course just looks at him like "I feel you back there but boy you ain't doin it right" So she starts biting him and trying to show him how it's done. He of course is walking around the house like an inchworm. And Bella, well she is like a nosey little sister. She starts jumping at them and trying to get them to play I swear she's saying "whatcha doin? huh huh? are you playing? I wanna play to! Come on guys plays play!" This goes on and on all day. I have the girls put up at night and Cody has run of the house, and then during parts of the day Cody get's put in his crate to give all of us a break. I just want this week to go by fast.

oh great- I heard from the vet we might not even notice the heat with Gabby. He wants to wait a long while before we have her spayed!

I thought Gracie would never start her first heat. She's 9 months old. The only way I could tell was I would check her "stuff" everyday and started to see her swell. She was swollen for about a week before the bleeding started. I would take a white tissue everyday when she was swollen and wipped inside her to see if there was any pink.

Bella was in heat what seemed like 2 wks or more..is it only supposed to be a week?

21 days.
one week of bleeding and two weeks of being breedable.

Well Gracie has managed to find a way to drive Cody absolutely insane(worse than he was before) She can jump up on my bed without the steps, Cody can't, so she hides on my bed and when Cody starts to really whine and b*tch she crawls to the edge and looks down at him at like "hahahaha nananana"! Just what I need, more teasing.

but I do have a question... are you sure they only bleed for a week?? It seems like Kayah bleeds for 2

I may be wrong.. but I swear it was about two weeks her last heat...
I just never got the courage to spay Kayah.. now that she's "older".. I'm scared it'll make her act/feel weird

Chizzie just started her heat cycle. Both Peppy and Kooper are acting like silly love struck horny little boys.

pebbles is in heat too.... and she is driving my pointer crazy! hes fixed... but he is still all over her.. constantly following her around and humping his toys and blankets. he is like 20 times her size... and has no idea what hes doing but hes been crazy for the past couple of weeks!

it is funny! My mom's dog bleeds for two weeks also. Bleeding for 1 week is the "norm" but every dog is different.
