| Dog Food Has anyone tried the Science Diet Natures Best chicken and brown rice dry dog food. I just purchased today at petsmart the 5lb bag was 12.99. I usually purchase innova dry dog food but their is only one place in our town that carries it and it is across town. I was just wondering if the Science Diet natural is about the same in comparisson???? Does anyone know if this is rated anywhere???? Thanks Kathy |

science diet is in no way comparable to innova. Innova is SO much better. i'd stick with that.

To answer your question, SD Nature is part of the regular diet for mine and I am quite pleased with the results. That being said, what is best for mine may not be best for yours. | |

| dogfoodanalysis.com is also "opinion"...THEIR words...based on the opinions of the site editors, not long term research. So take that for what it's worth. It has lots of good information on it, but please don't be mislead into using it as your only search of information. (I did that instead of listening to my gut and it almost killed one of mine!) Or just what is on the label--they are designed by the company to promote their products! Not to mention misleading. For research, try this link as well: http://www.consumersearch.com/www/fa...d/reviews.html It has links to numerous sites, the benefits of home cooking and examines raw feeding and it recommends publications that address nutrition in detail and long term facts. Talk to a canine nutritionist if you can. There are also links at the top of this section with details of how you can get free samples to try. Just realize that what one person tells you is best for THEIR dog may not be the case for yours. |

| Science Diet Natures Best Chicken and Brown Rice contains both wheat and soy which are two of the top three allergy causing ingredients in dogs (corn is the third). It also contains pork fat. http://www.hillspet.com/hillspet/pro...45524441783431 IMO, Innova is far superior food. |

| I personally will never feed or recommend Science Diet. Innova is a higher quality food with better ingredients

| I'm going to have to go with Sci Diet on this one (don't faint anyone ). This is the Nature's Best which is way better than the regular. Innova has garlic in it and I can't recommend it unless you are going to check RBCs. It isn't worth the risk to me. I personally don't like pork fat in any dog food and wouldn't feed either.

| Trust me, SD isn't my first choice either. Both have ingredients in them I don't care for....carb fillers, low grade ingredients, and both contain things known to trigger allergies. But it works for us for now, so until I can find the 'next best thing'... |
