| How long is this going to last?? I am in the process of switching Chewy's food. She has been on Canidae for over a year and done great on it. She does eat some human food along with the dog food however. Well, i decided to take some of your guys' advice and switch up her food so she gets a variety of nutriets. I still have 1/2 bag of Canidae so I am planning to give her half and half until im out. The new food i decided on was Natural Balance Lamb and oatmeal (she has been having skin issues so thats why the oatmeal). It has been about a week now and she eats about half of a daily portion of dog food and always in the middle of the night. She refuses to eat it during the day and has been eating between 11 pm and 1am. For breakfast she has had about 3-5 pieces of cereal. and when i get home from work she has about 1/2 slice of turkey or a tiny piece of chicken. This is clearly not enough for her and she refuses to eat until i go to sleep. ANYWAY... my question: How long is it normal for her to have diarreah while in the process of switching food. first few days were really runny....now about a week of soft stool. Im corcerned that maybe she doesnt like the new food and is starving!!!! Please help! |

| Thanks! I did the switch mostly for the oatmeal.... shes been shedding a lot and itchy(i think itchy because of the cold). Vet recomended oatmeal and since i already bath her in an oatmeal shampoo, ill try it in the food as well. Do you think I can give her real oatmeal? If so how much and how often? |
