You can purchase it at any drugstore, such as Walgreens. It's over the counter medication and considered very safe to use by everyone I've asked .... and believe me I've asked. It's actually very reasonably priced.

Ginger capsules are a great idea but I don't know the dose. Ginger Snaps have worked just fine for us and it takes less than one. Unless your dog is allergic to one of the ingredients, the worst part is it is junk food

or maybe it won't work for you...

Medication is my last choice probably because Ellie is kind of "sensitive" and I wouldn't want to be two hours away from the vet and her have a reaction. I am more comfortable going natural anyway, if possible.

Have you tried to drive without the carseats? I had a pup years ago who would get carsick and never had an answer except I felt so bad for her. Perhaps there is a freshener in the car that makes me feel ill? Smoke? Good luck. Warmly, Deborah

I did have one of them in a crate once and she threw up in there too.

Nope, no air freshener and no smokers around here. I always hear that if they are up where they can see what's going on that it is supposed to help. It's also weird cause one of them is two years old and just started this.

It is for sickness with him for which they cannot find the cause of. So are trying it for 5 days to see if it helps.

just some FYI,, we use Cerenia for Daisy,, and its only major warning is not to Use More Than Five Days,,you can read up on it online , i learned i shouldnt give it to her in cheese,,, http://www.pfizerah.com/product_over...=EN&species=CN

Daisy is 18 months and still gets carsick if she doesnt have something,,, AND,, she gets sick much more in my car (Mustang) than in any of our trucks!! i think its the diffrerence in the ride,,but i did take them all for a 30 mile ride in my Mustang,, and she did well,,i gave her Bonine before going,, 1/2 a tab,,in a pill pocket,, about 30 minutes before we left,, I use the Cerenia on our trips home to Louisiana,,which is a 235 mile trip,, its wonderful,, but that way i'm not giving her the Cerenia too often,,and yesterday was our first day to try Bonine,, and i'd give it a BIG Thumps Up!! it was recommended we try by their Vet,, good luck to you baby and the car sickness,, sure makes for no fun if they have to go somewhere,,Bless His Bones!

I got some Bonine on Monday and will try it out soon when I visit my mom. She lives about 30 miles away. It sounds like it works great.

You are a star, thank you so much for the link, I am meant to give it to Teddy for 5 days in a row and he had a shot of it Yesterday TUESDAY so I won't give it to him today.

Just for 5 days or until Monday when I see the vet again.

I wish the vet would tell you this info. Mine said it is fine and no side effects.
