BANNED FOR NOT MAILING PRODUCTS PURCHASED | What do you consider table scraps? I was just reading another thread and I want to know what you consider table scraps are? To me, table scraps are left over food that the kids did not eat and if you take the plates and scrape them all off into a plate, then that's table scraps. (I do NOT do this nor do I give my babies this) If I give my babies some apples, banana's, yogurt, cottage cheese, or even boiled chicken, then I do not consider this table scraps. What do you think? |

I agree. Table scraps and people food are totally different. The biggest problem with table scraps is that they are salty and fatty.

| I agree with your logic. Table scraps to me are something that you feed a dog when you are done that you do not feel like throwing away. Now, I do feed my dogs human food not all the time, but sometimes. HOwever, I buy the food especially for them. When we go grocery shopping - I always pick up Cheerios, yogurt, and grilled chicken.

| I agree....Table scraps are from your own plate with seasonings and possibly fatty foods that dogs should not have... I never feed them from my plate so that they do not get used to begging. People food is very healthy for them My two babies get only homemade meals and treats...no dog food at all...

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | Yeah ,I agree with you! Table scraps are what's left on your plate, which usually contains salt and other no no for dogs. Although if I'm eating lean grilled chicken I might give Bengi a bite, or a green bean, carrot, potato (not condimented) |

| I think table scraps are feeding your leftovers or anything unhealthy..hamburgers, french fries, etc. I don't think it applies to healthy "real" foods that dogs should be eating anyway

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | i consider tale scraps anything that is fed to the dog while you are sitting at the table eating. I don't do it because it encourages begging. If i'm eating something that is good for dogs then i'll wait till after dinner and give it to her as a treat away from the table. table scraps are also left overs i guess. the scraps of food that is left after dinner.
