Donating YT 500 Club Member | You can also use hydrogen peroxide but should check with your vet first. This is from a dog emergency kit instructions. Hydrogen peroxide should be in every dog's medicine cabinet. Although most commonly thought of as a way to clean a wound, another important use is to induce vomiting when your dog has ingested toxins, foreign objects, drugs or spoiled food. However, check with your veterinarian first because there are times when it is best not to induce vomiting. Dogs won't drink peroxide willingly so buy an oral dose syringe or keep a turkey baster on hand to help administer the liquid. Also check the expiration date; expired peroxide is not as effective

| I wonder where I can get a dog emergency kit here, maybe at the pet stores as the pharmacy will only be for humans. I will check. |

| As info., tonight I gave Sadie a Nylabone, which I was told is safe for Yorkies. I did not think she could eat it, but ten mins. later I looked and half of the bone was ingested. About ten mins. later, she started wretching. It was awful watching her, so I took a capful of 3% hydrogen peroxide, and she took two sips. I was amazed as I thought I would have to force it down her. Five mins. later, I gave her two more sips, and she bolted to the door. She started eating grass, and within five mins. she threw it all up and was fine. Hopefully, this can help someone else.
