				   | Marty will surely be in my thoughts. I am so sad that he even has to be tested for this. Hope it proves to be nothing serious. All our love is with you.

| Mom to Marty & Maddie Donating Member | Thanks everyone! You guys are so awesome. I tried to take pics of his ears again, but my computer for some reason won't read my memory card for one camera, and the battery just died in the other, so I guess I'll have to wait and do it later. I was hoping someone might have other (less scary) possibilities for what this might be. Has anyone else dealt with vasculitis? From what I've read so far it's pretty rare. |

				   | I hope it turns out to be something minor! Xena had a spot like that when she came home from the breeder. Our vet thought it was Ring Worm too, however same as you, it didn't show up under black light and the culture didn't grow anything. It wasn't quite as yellow like in your pics, it spread slowly and seemed to consist of a blister/scab on each hair follicle, and all together made one large "scab". We had to use 2 courses of the medication the vet prescribed (Sorry, I can't find what it was). I'm not sure if it's the same thing, but it sounds similar. BTW, the vet never did diagnose it, but it has never returned after the medicine. Good luck to you both.

| Mom to Marty & Maddie Donating Member | That would be awesome! Do you remember if it was an antibiotic, antifungus, steroid or something else like that? |

				   | I called my vet. They said it was Tresiderm (sp?) but the girl on the phone couldn't tell me what it was exactly. My memory wants to say anti-fungal, but I'm just not sure. I had to put it on for two weeks. Then when I thought it was better, although not all the way gone, I stopped it and the scabs came back, so I did it for another two weeks (the full course) and it went away.
